Hi! I’m Hannah
Latter-Day Saint Primary President
“Do you fancy a challenge?”

I already knew that my face expressed the answer to that question long before my mouth could confirm. Propped against a wall in the corridor, after having dissolved the chaos that erupted between unattended kids in the primary room. Burned out beyond my capacity to function. Grieving intensely for the still very fresh loss of my favourite person. Knee deep into a criminal investigation after being subjected to over three years of abuse and harassment. Ever mindful of the recently discovered lump that I was awaiting a biopsy for. I can honestly say, in no way, shape or form, did I ‘fancy a challenge’. There was simply no room left. I was maxed out in the challenge department. Did I fancy a break? Sure. Absolutely. However, betrayed by my chronic inability to say no to people, I opened my mouth in reply to my Bishop and said “what sort of challenge?”
And in the best possible way; it was all downhill from there.
